This is a review of how to write the equation of a line in slope intercept form when given two points.

By Rhonda Johnson
This teaches the student how to write the equation of a line in slope-intercept form given a point and a slope or two points.

By Lydia Howard
This lesson allows the student discover a quadratic equation by letting them find three points. They then predict another point on the same parabola. The ramp used is available at Region 8 Education Service Center.

This will show real life dilations. It also shows similar figures and how they are dilations of an original. I lead them to discover what a scale factor is and how it applies to enlargements and reductions. Your students will enjoy the humor and finding things on their own! I used activities from CSCOPE curriculum Unit 9.
